Another 40 people have been diagnosed with corona, 39 of them are in Dhaka

The number of people affected by corona virus is gradually increasing in the country.  In the last 24 hours, 40 new cases of coronavirus have been detected.  39 of them live in the capital Dhaka.  However, no one has died due to Corona in the country at this time.  And since the beginning of the epidemic, the number of deaths due to corona in the country has reached 29 thousand 481 people.  The number of infected has reached 20 lakh 46 thousand 901 people.

This information was informed in the regular press release on Corona issue sent by the Department of Health on Thursday (January 25).

It is said in the circular that 40 people were diagnosed with corona in 432 samples tested in 885 laboratories in the last 24 hours across the country.  Among them, 39 patients are from Dhaka and 1 from Chittagong.  The detection rate against the test is 9.26 percent.  The total detection rate since the beginning of the epidemic is 13.09 percent.

In the last 24 hours, 44 people have recovered from Corona.  With this, the total number of healthy patients has increased to 20 lakh 14 thousand 264.  The recovery rate is 98.41 percent.

On March 8, 2020, the first case of coronavirus was detected in the country.  After 10 days on March 18, the Department of Health reported the first death of a patient due to Corona.
